The first thing I did after being accepted onto the Olympic trip was contact my friends that live in London and let them know that I would be visiting again this summer. I met them through an exchange that my Boy Scout troop did with their Boy Scout troop in London in which every two years either we would travel over there or they would travel over here and we would explore each of our two countries together. This helped to create a lifelong bond and friendship between myself and the great people I met last time and so it was important for me to let them know that I would get the chance to reconnect with them again this summer.
Secondly came the paperwork. For the trip itself this included the contract that went along with the class, a passport renewal (as I haven't traveled internationally in a few years), signing up for CoSport (in order to find great deals and purchase tickets to Olympic events), and all the other loose ends that needed tying up. Throughout the Winter and early Spring I was able to get everything done, buy tickets for the one event I've been able to get so far (Women's Soccer on July 31st in Newcastle), and get registered for the MGT 390 class that this trip is associated with.
Finally, after the Spring Semester ended and I went home for the summer, I started to work on and complete the various components of the Management class that I need to have done before leaving for London on the 25th. That includes making this website, blogging about various things, writing a paper, and joining in on online class discussions. Most of this is either done or in the process of being completed so all that's left to do is pack and count down the days to July 25th!
